For our final overnight trip this dogsled-season, we went to the lake at Dombrava.
Camping at Dombrava in the second part of May includes nights under the midnight sun, fun, laughter, local food, and, of course, many hours of ice-fishing.
After a long winter, we can finally once again walk on snow-free ground and enjoy the smell of soil and heather.
But not for too long, since the fish are waiting for us down at the lake :-).
This one tasted delicious!
At some point, reluctantly, we had to leave this little paradise, and drive home.
By now, It is quite hot for the dogs, even on a cloudy morning, and we had to take breaks to allow them to cool down.
They enjoy hanging out on dry ground, too!
We love our dogs. Life would certainly not be the same without them!!
Oh I wish I’d been with you; I love that area around Dom Brava.
If you ever come back for dog sledding, you could come in the middle of may, to experience springtime. I think you would have loved to stay at the lake!
Dombrava is one of my best souvenir in Greenland, thanks to you.
Thank you for the pictures.
(I’ve lost your email adress, that shows I didn’t write to you since a long time… shame on me. Can you give it to me please?)
