Let me give you a glimpse of a beautiful day – saturday 4th – in Ittoqqortoormiit.
We`ve aready had quite a few snowstorms during the last weeks. That made us appreciate a single day with sunshine and blue skies even more.
Our neighbourhood
The playground – a popular place 🙂
Beautiful children enjoying a beautiful day
At the warehouse, there was a lot of activity, since the second and last supply ship had arrived that morning.
I`ve never been on my skis as early as in the beginning of october. I love to ski through fresh fallen snow.
Our puppies were enjoying to play in the snow. A gorgeous day was coming to an end, and another blizzard waiting just around the corner.
I love the photos of the village. It’s a lot of snow! Is it usually like this in October?
Glad to hear that! It`s quite unusual with that much snow, that early. In autumn, there used to be more calm, dry, clear, cold weather. This year there are lots of storms and precipitation. Actually, it began to rain during the last storm, yesterday, so the snow is more wet now then last week… We are hoping there`s more stable weather to come soon!
How lovely to see these pictures. I was there last august (pre snow). thank you for sharing!
Thank you 🙂 I´m glad you enjoyed reading.
Berit og jeg setter stor pris på dine innlegg. Gleder oss til å se og lese hver gang.
Det var godt å høre – og en ekstra motivasjon for meg! Mange hilsen til dere to!!
Wow! These pictures look so inviting. By the looks of the kids bundled like teddy bears, the temperature is cold. But the sky is so blue and your little village is postcard perfect.
Thank you for sharing!
Glad to hear that. It was one of those days that make you thankfull to be alive 🙂
Great pictures Ruth. What an amazing place to live. We don’t have snow here yet, but it is coming soon. Tell me more about your dogs. What are their names? Are they all sled dogs or are some just pets?
Hello, – and thanks for your comment! I think I´ll do a post about our dogs at some point, with all their names, as well 🙂 I just realized that I haven`t really been writing that much about them! So I´m glad you asked. Just now, we have 23 dogs. And they are all sled dogs, – no pets!
23? Wow. 🙂
Thank you for the amazing photos. This is a lot of snow.
Thanks 🙂
