Last weekend, I ventured out on the sea-ice – just outside of Ittoqqortoormiit – for the first time this winter. At different locations along the ice-edge, my husband and I waited for seals for a couple of hours. It felt good to be out on the ice and in the sunshine! We met another hunter, who stayed with us for a while. The temperature that day was about -17 degrees Celsius.
A beautiful November day ๐
Hi Ruth,
that’s still a pleasure to read your texts, have news from Ittoqqortoormiit and look some pictures. Thanks for that.
Do you have a picture of Wawaqa? She was my favorite ๐
Enjoy the winter,
Aude
Hi Aude,
so good to hear from you!! Iยดll try do find a picture of Wawaqa and send it to you by e-mail ๐ I decided to give her away this spring, to a young hunter. Sorry ๐ but I think it was for her best, since she never really got along with the other females I have… R
Hello Ruth,
I’m so pleased I came across your blog, it is fascinating to read about life in Geenland and your photos are stunning. You’re doing a great job promoting the region – you’ve inspired me to come and see this beautiful place (perhaps on my honeymoon! :-). Thank you! Anna
